Pramila Das

Ms. Pramila Das  is a Bachelors in MedTech (Life Science) and a Post graduate in Business Administration (MBA) from T A Pai Management Institute. She has been a business woman for 16 years prior to taking up Art full time since 2015.  She has been high on creativity as an Artist in her college days and has won many certifications and prizes to her credit. Though, Art started as a regular hobby, it continued as a Second Career post her Corporate Job as she pursued Fine Art and is a fully fledged Artist specializing in Mysore Traditional Art, Portrait paintings and Contemporary Art

Jan 2015 to Jan 2020, continuously been participating as an Artist since 6 yrs at the Annual Chitra Santhe , a prestigious event organised by Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath , Bengaluru
Aug 2016 , showcased Contemporary Paintings at Rangoli Metro, MG Road
Yr 2017 , Exhibited at Bengaluru Habba at the Heritage building Vidhana Soudha on the 24th Dec organised by Phase 1 World agency
Yr 2018, Exhibited at the Prestigious Kempegowda International Airport, Bengaluru as part of the Airport's 10 year milestone celebration of BengaluruAirportHabba on the 26th May 2018
Oct 2018 was part of Mumbai-Pune Artists group "ArtWorkX" Exhibited and sold paintings at Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath (CKP) gallery
March 2019, as part of the Advanced Mysore Art course, exhibited Mysore Traditional Art paintings at Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath (CKP) gallery

Yr2014   : successfully completed Short-Term Course (ModernArt) conducted by Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath, Bengaluru

Yr 2016   : successfully completed the Short Term Certificate Program in Drawing and Painting course conducted by the College of FineArts , Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath, Bengaluru

Yr 2018   : successfully completed the Advanced Course in Mysore Traditional Art under the Master Neela Panch conducted by the Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath, Bengaluru

Key Accomplishments :

July 2016 - was selected for the 10 day workshop of Mysore Traditional Art painting at Indira Gandhi National Centre for Arts (IGNCA), Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. Created and gifted IGNCA a female deity painting "Goddess Indrani" for their Gallery
Jan 2017 - was selected by CKP to participate in the 10 day Mysore Traditional Art and Surpur painting workshop organised by Karnataka ChitraKala Parishath. Painted "Deity Dattatreya" in Mysore Art style during this workshop and gifted to CKP for their Traditional Art Gallery
Aug 2018 - was invited by CKP to participate in Sri H.K. Khejriwal Memorial's National Workshop on Ganjifa and Contemporary Art, organised by Karnataka ChitraKala Parishath
Oct 2018 - My Artwork "Mailara Deva- Lord Shiva " painting was shortlisted for the LalitKala Academy Award and also was featured in the 47th Annual Exhibition organised by Karnataka Lalit Kala Academy
2019 - One of my Traditional Art Work was bought by the very famous Art Connoisseur-Collector Dr. Kiran Mazumdar - Shaw, Chairperson of Biocon Ltd and is now part of her premier collection

Pramila believes in expressing emotions through Figurative and Portrait Art in Traditional Mysore style. She paints in Water Color and Acrylic and is strongly pursuing the Mysore School of Art to restore Mythological value in the newer generations. Pramila Das is a staunch believer in Lord Shiva, as she creates various forms of Lord Shiva in Mysore Traditional Art.
