Sapna Anand’s journey as an artist began a few years back when she embarked on the adventure of self actualisation. A management graduate by qualification, she is grateful that Art found her. It is her route to express her emotions, feelings, thoughts and her connection to the various elements of nature and the world. She paints from the real world but not the real world. Her simplistic outlook towards the world reflects in her work where complex objects and scenes become simple forms and color becomes the vocabulary.
She’s had the opportunity to learn from the leading national and international artist through various workshops and interactions. She’s gained insight into the history of art through courses offered by MOMA and School of Art Institute of Chicago.
An Avid reader, she finds inspiration in her readings apart from the past recollections and memories. She feels that our life echoes our past memories and thats what defines us. Each day we make a new memory and each one of us makes a different memory. For her these fond remembrances are a treasure and the nostalgia is a sweet haven. There is always a strange solace in reminiscing the places and the moments we love.
She paints in acrylic and oil. she has exhibited in national and international exhibitions and at fairs.
