Saroj Revankar has a Master’s degree in sociology and is a Self-taught artist. She is deeply passionate about art and has been painting for more than 30 years now. She works mostly with oil on canvas, acrylic, charcoal and mixed media but has also experimented with other mediums. She has exhibited her works in two solo shows at Chitra Kala Parishad, Bangalore and many group shows since 1995. She is fascinated by the tribal people who are native to where she grew up from and tries to showcase them in her work. She also draws inspiration from nature and its beauty.
