Lakshmi MP Rao was born in Shimoga and brought up in Bangalore. She is physically challenged by birth but always believed that her  ability is stronger than her disability. She has done her Diploma in Interior designing and BFA in Modern arts and MFA in Painting.

She found art as the way to express her inner emotions and that art is her true companion and best friend. Apart from being an artist, she loves to cook, also  a trained singer and a passionate solo traveler. She  started teaching kids to draw when she was studying her Diploma itself . She was keen on making her passion as a profession.

She started her career in interior designing with Satish Groups of Architect and her dream came true when she started her own studio in the name Rashmi Creations.

She has mastered in modern arts, glass painting, watercolor painting, acrylic painting etc and crafts like mural art, water fall, wall hangings etc. She has been teaching for 15 years and has trained over 150+ students.

About her outlook on Life

She is an independent woman and  has always voiced for Woman Empowerment.

Amrita Sher Gill is her inspiration and she loves to express woman’s inner emotions and feelings through her  art.

Art exhibitions

She has been  part of many workshops and exhibitions and has showcased her art in exhibitions at Bangalore from 2010 – 2019. At Hyderabad in 2014 and 2015.  At Goa in 2015,  At Shimla in 2017 and at Chennai in 2015.

(Awards and recognition)

She was awarded best painter by Sanjevde Awards from Hyderabad and Ajanta Kalaramam from Hyderabad.  She was invited as Chief Guest of Honour by Sagar Hospital in Bangalore .
