Artist Profile

I have lived my whole life to find meaningful inspiration in daily routine. How I could convey those moments through my Art. I find cooking & painting food, the most meaningful inspiration. My pieces attempt to portray the joy of food with colours, textures & create bold-bright daring art works.

I was attracted to Art/Craft & started creating home decor during my childhood days. What started as a hobby & summer vacation activity became a profession in later years. Was inspired by my creative mother & aunts.

I pursued Home Science for my graduation. I’m a proud Home Scientist & choose to be creative in everything I do. From cooking a simple meal for my family to creating a master piece painting, everything goes with meticulous planning & eye-catchy presentation.

After marriage, pursued PG Diploma in Fashion design & started teaching at various colleges/institutions as a guest faculty. I have dabbled my hands into different mediums, as it is a pre-requisite for teaching Art. Had opportunity to do a couple of art basics… certificate courses & also attended classes conducted by different artists. This helped me to develop my own style.

I have been teaching Art/Craft & conducting weekend workshops for corporates, collaborated with other Art Studios & Cafes. Amongst many, my palette knife painting with acrylics workshop, is the most sought out & appreciated. Apart from these, I conduct classes at my Home Studio for different age groups. During pandemic switched to online classes. Today, I have students from different cities & countries.

My favourite subject is abstract & mix media where I have more scope to play with colors & textures. I have displayed my artworks in group shows along with other artists. My profile & artworks have been featured in newspapers & had the privilege to do art/craft demos in a couple of TV shows. My art journey so far has been challenging & satisfying…
