About the Artist
Poornima is an amateur Graphite Realism artist and an acrylic painter from Bangalore, but currently living in Hong Kong. Her artistic journey began as a child watching her mother paint landscapes in oil and her dad create sketches in minutes. Her parents have been her biggest support, encouraging her to take up art from a very young age.
Though not formally trained in art, Poornima has attended many art workshops conducted by eminent artists in Bangalore to pursue her dream of becoming an artist. Currently she is undertaking training in Graphite Realism from eminent Realism Artist of India, Shri. Venu Madhav Vodnala and Mastering Watercolor Realism for Prominent Artist Meeta Dani. She is also pursuing a one-year Professional Diploma in Fine Arts from Delhi Collage of Arts.
Themes that interest her include landscapes, portraits, still life, and wildlife, and mandala. She also has a keen interest in paper cutting art.
Medium she works in include Graphite, Charcoal, Watercolors, Acrylics, and Mandalas.
