Being a qualified Chartered Accountant, my career and daily life was far away from paints, brushes, canvas, easel, pencils, papers etc. Once I visited a  gallery in Montreal, Canada where a saying of Pablo Picasso was written  “Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life.” From there my journey with art started.

Being a self-taught, passionate hobby artist from Bangalore I am fortunate to have the opportunities to stay and travel different countries of Europe, Canada and USA due to my husband’s profession where I learnt some techniques attending few workshops of renowned artists. I attended few workshops in Bangalore, India too.

Started with oil painting in 2013, gradually took interest in Acrylics, Dry pastels, Graphite pencils, Colour pencils. Became passionate about transparent Water colour.

Below is the description of my short journey with art :

Year 2014 Attended Online oil painting workshop of “Paint Basket” by renowned artist Nolan Clark. Exhibited oil paintings in Montreal Canada.

Year 2015 Attended Acrylic and oil painting workshop of “Shiny Colours” by Master artist Bijay Biswal .
Participated in Akanksha’s Group show at Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath, Bangalore.

Year  2016 Participated in Akanksha’s group show at Rangoli Metro Art Gallery, Bangalore. Exhibited water colour , oil and Acrylic paintings at academy of Fine Arts, Kolkata.

Year 2017 Participated in 4th edition of Akanksha’s group show at Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath, Bangalore. I Learned lots of water colour techniques during my 1 year stay in Munich, Germany and I started enjoying plein air painting travelling Belgium, Luxemburg, Switzerland, Austria, Italy and Czech Republic. Exhibited in Munich Art Gallery, Germany. Awarded 5th place jury award in an International Art contest conducted in Melbourne, Australia. Selected and Participated in International Watercolour Society (IWS ) 2nd Biennale, Delhi.

Year 2018 Selected and participated in 1st International Water Colour Society (IWS) Biennale, Prague, Czech Republic. Participated for a Charity Show of Narayana Hrudayalaya at Rangoli Metro Gallery, Bangalore.

Year 2019 Participated in Chitra Santhe 2019. Participated in a group exhibition at Karnataka Chitrakala Parisath, Bangalore.
