Painting Description- Ganesha

Choosing to paint this sculpture was my attempt to learn sculpture painting in watercolor, giving the colors and textures as close to the real ones as possible. At that time I was unaware of its history, but later on, the thought of ‘Ganesha sculpture in Qutub Minar campus!’ made me curious to search online for it.

The origin of this Ganesha sculpture is found inside the campus of Qutub Minar. This is a surprising fact but true. The combination of Mughal and Hindu art and architecture is found in a few heritage sites in India. This shows the influence and dominance of these clans in past eras. Hope, I get to visit these sites in the future for more in-depth knowledge and experience!
